St Vincent de Paul
St John's Regional Conference

Who we are: Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to our neighbors in need in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frédéric Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul.
What we do: Provide emergency financial assistance to Frederick County, Maryland, residents to prevent homelessness by assisting with eviction notices, security deposits, and utility shutoffs, plus assistance with other needs on a case-by-case basis.

Background: The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, was founded by six college students and an older member in 1833. From those humble beginnings, it has grown to become a network of charity encircling the world. Today, more than 800,000 members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul are serving those in need in their own communities in 152 countries.
