Our assistance is limited to residents of Frederick County MD in financial need.
Help with housing by assisting with evictions & security deposits: Bring identification and all paperwork related to your request. Please realize that we may be able to assist with a portion of the full amount; you will probably need to contact other agencies. Help with security deposits is meant to help the homeless into housing.
Help with utility shutoff notices: Bring identification and all paperwork related to your request. Please realize that we may may be able to assist with a portion of the full amount; you will probably need to contact other agencies
Help with prescriptions: We may assist one time with getting prescriptions filled at Whitesell Pharmacy exclusively. Bring an ID and have the prescription with you or already at Whitesell's.
Help with birth certificates: We may provide funds for birth certificates. You need to obtain the forms necessary to obtain your birth certificate.
Help with MD State Photo ID: We may pay the fee for a photo ID from the MVA.
Other assistance: We do assist with other situations. Call us to see if your needs might be something we can assist with or perhaps we can give you a referral to another agency that can.
Things we Do Not assist with: Motels, Phones, Rent, Mortgages
Getting Ahead Program: A 16 week program gives participants time, space and tools to assess and understand their own resources, to build on those resources, and acquire new ones as part of their move to greater self-sufficiency. Click in this link for more information.
